Saturday, February 16

3-6 PM

at The Storefront-- 325 21 St W, at Ave D

Come and carve some stamps! The possibilities are endless. We’ll be printing on linen napkins, but you can use your stamp on whatever you like, forever!

Block printing isn’t hard, but with guidance, you can improve your result. There are design possibilities for every skill level.

Participants will learn the basics carving a stamp with a variety of blades. You will be guided through planning, sketching, and refining a design to print as a repeating, gridded pattern, or floating motif. We’ll go over tips and tricks for precise, effective carving, and some fun ways to mix inks and layer your prints. As a final step, participants will print onto linen napkins, using tools to ensure an even print.

Participants will take home four high-quality pure linen napkins printed with their design, as well as the stamp(s) and the knowledge and hunger to make more!
