Polymer Clay Jewelry ・ Sunday, July 21

3-5 PM

with Megan Torrico @clayrosejewelry

at Assembly Studio-- 325 21 St W, at Ave D

We are just loving this new workshop, and participants are too! It’s the perfect combo of creative play and polished final product!

In this workshop, you will learn how to handle and work with polymer clay, and how to combine colours to achieve effects such as marbling, gradients, stripes and shapes. You can add gold foil, and mix custom colours. We will also discuss working with brass and other alloys. Participants will have the ability to design and create earrings and/or a pendant in the workshop, using polymer clay and a selection of brass geometric shapes. The workshop focus will be polymer clay set into brass, but participants are free to apply the techniques in other ways, or work with just the clay.

Participants will take home 2-3 pieces of unique handmade jewelry, a knowledge of working with polymer clay, and some serious inspiration!

This is a Summer Series class. We are welcoming a few extra people to the workshop, thanks to the extra room in our courtyard, and offering a lower seasonal price.

Paypal account not required! Just click Pay with Paypal and then Pay with Debit or Credit Card on the following page. Please contact us if you have any technical difficulties with your purchase.

Instructor Megan Torrico has had a passion for designing and creating handmade jewelry since she was a young girl, her passion for crafting has driven her to explore various mediums and methods used for jewelry making such as polymer clay, silversmithing, beading and resin to name a few.  She draws inspiration from all aspects of her life, she is a stay at home mom of three young children, and when she can find some time to herself she enjoys sneaking away to her craft room and working on her jewelry. She started Clay Rose Jewelry in 2016, and hopes to continue expanding her knowledge and developing her skills to create new and unique pieces of jewelry.
